Welcome

Lindfield East Public School has an active P&C Association. The P&C Association is an incorporated organisation with a constitution prescribed by the Department of Education. It consists of parents, teachers and interested citizens from the community who come together with the following objectives:

  • to promote the interests of the school by bringing parents, citizens, students and teaching staff into close co-operation;
  • to assist in providing facilities and equipment for the school and in promoting the recreation and welfare of the students at the school.

Entertainment Books arrived Monday 7th May!

Lindfield East Public School are selling the Entertainment Books for 2012/13. They were handed out in class on Monday 7th May for preview. There is no obligation to purchase the book. The books are $65 each and $13 will be donated to Lindfield East Public School

New Conductor for CB 2012

Please welcome Jonathan Dollin who joins LEPS as our new Conductor for CB in 2012.

Jonathan is a professional saxophonist, flautist, clarinetist, conductor and teacher with a wealth of experience in both performance and conducting.

Music is Jon's passion and he believes in teaching the fundamentals of music first such as  good breathing and  good technique prior to teaching musical styles such as jazz, pop, funk, classical and contemporary.

After graduation from University with a Bachelor of Creative Arts in Musical Performance majoring in Saxophone in 2005 he has been an Instrumental Tutor at various schools and comes to us from St Pius X College in Chatswood where he continues both as conductor of the Junior Concert band and Junior Jazz band as well as tutor in saxophone, clarinet and flute.

Jon believes that lessons should be fun and is thrilled to be part of the LEPS Band Programme as conductor. He is looking forward to meeting all the children in Concert Band this year and teaching them some terrific new music for 2012!

 

Creative workshops 2012

This year Creative Workshops will be offering online registration. Enrolments will open Wed 1 Feb at 7a.m.

We think you will love the new system. It will streamline the whole registration process. You won't have to wait in a queue at school. You will be able to see instantly which classes have places available. We can now accept credit/debit cards.

New conductor for LEPS String Ensemble

Angela Cassar is a professional violinist, conductor and teacher. Since graduating from the Sydney Conservatorium of Music with a Bachelor of Music Performance (Hons) in 2001, she has performed and recorded with many of Sydney's top musicians, including Sydney Philharmonia Orchestra, Fox Studios Soundtrack Orchestra, and many of the leading string quartets around Sydney.In addition, Angela is Principal 2nd Violin of Willoughby Symphony Orchestra.

Her extensive teaching experience includes holding the position as Head of Strings K-12 at Moriah College from 2002 - 2007. Angela has a busy private studio, and is in demand as a string tutor and adjudicator at Sydney's top schools. Angela is delighted to be commencing as conductor of the String Ensemble at East Lindfield Public School.
