Welcome
Lindfield East Public School has an active P&C Association. The P&C Association is an incorporated organisation with a constitution prescribed by the Department of Education. It consists of parents, teachers and interested citizens from the community who come together with the following objectives:
- to promote the interests of the school by bringing parents, citizens, students and teaching staff into close co-operation;
- to assist in providing facilities and equipment for the school and in promoting the recreation and welfare of the students at the school.

We’re planning a bit of a ‘celebration’ to thank all the parents who have contributed so much to the school this year
Come and have a glass of wine & food and socialise!
There will be a short agenda including:
- Reports and news from the Principal and Deputy Principals
- Brief summary of the year by the major committees (Band, Canteen, Uniform Shop, Parents Auxiliary, Lyrebird Centre, Creative Workshops, LEPS MarketPlace)
For current members, we also have the following motion to be voted on:

GET ENOUGH SLEEP
The website has been creating a lot of interest in yr 4 this week as we looked at what time 10 yr olds went to bed. Most were disappointed to find out that they were not alone in their “early” bedtimes. See the results of the poll together with an article on how much sleep children really need to live the active lifestyles they enjoy.
In the following weeks we will be looking at how you manage screen time.
- Do you set a fixed amount of time per week for TV, computer, playstation etc?
- do you try but usually end up saying OK just 10 more minutes to finish a game.
- Or do you encourage your child to self regulate.
Have your say now

The theme of black and white was highly effective and as soon as you hit the Killara HS Hall on Saturday night, the mood was set. The eating tables were decorated and the games tables beckoned. A fun night was had by all who attended and the atmosphere was one of fun and frivolity.
Congratulations to all who were involved with the organisation - it was incredible.
Fundraising News 6 Nov
A BIG Thank You to Vivien Lindsay and the fabulous Year 4 parents who are organising a Car Boot Sale on November 28.
Please see the events calendar for details.
2009 Kindy and Year 1 parents – Thank You to those who have responded quickly to the call for the 2010 Welcome Back and major fundraiser organisers. These parents would welcome more volunteers for their organising teams.
Year 2, 2009 – the LEPS Market Place is looking for a Secretary on the Committee and a few parents to volunteer as business relationship managers.
Year 3, 2009 – We need volunteers to organise the Walkathon in 2010. Chris Bratchford, who has successfully organised the walkathons for the last few years is leaving LEPS at the end of the year and would like to hand over the details to the next organiser. It would be a great activity for any Dad who would like to be more involved in their kid’s school.
