Welcome
Lindfield East Public School has an active P&C Association. The P&C Association is an incorporated organisation with a constitution prescribed by the Department of Education. It consists of parents, teachers and interested citizens from the community who come together with the following objectives:
- to promote the interests of the school by bringing parents, citizens, students and teaching staff into close co-operation;
- to assist in providing facilities and equipment for the school and in promoting the recreation and welfare of the students at the school.
Welcome to the P&C for 2010!
Thank you to all the previous and new members who turned out for the AGM and General Meeting last week. We had a wonderful turnout and had nominations for most positions on the P&C.
The continuing support from the parents at LEPS is critical for running the creative workshops, 3 bands and the string ensemble, the canteen, uniform shop, building fund, website, safety committee, fundraising and the LEPS MarketPlace, The Parents Auxiliary supports many events during the year and the Parent Liaison Committee welcomes and supports new families. Lots of activity and lots of great volunteers! Thank you!!
If you’d like to get involved please come to our next General Meeting on Tuesday 16th March in the staffroom.

- Building Committee Member

Welcome back 2010

The LEPS community well and truly ‘Kick Started’ 2010 with the annual ‘Welcome Back Night’ last Friday evening. The combination of great entertainment and perfect weather saw up to 1000 parents and kids attend the special school calendar event.
A big thank you must be given to the committee of Katherine Oaten, Tanya Davey, Jessica Raimond, Georgina Ford, Annabelle Tallentire and Mr Sakuna Pho. Their planning and coordination of the night was exceptional. Also, to the many parents that helped at the BBQs, cleaning up, ticketing etc, your support was greatly appreciated.
Uniform Shop News
The uniform shop is in desperate need for volunteers to help out twice a term on a Tuesday or Thursday morning from 8.45 to 10.15am. (We are happy for a 9am start if this suits better). No prior experience is neccessary. One huge benefit of being a volunteer is that you don’t ever have to stand in a queue – you can self serve! The new lunch bags are in stock now at only $16.00. Band pants are available for $25.00.

WHAT'S NEW...AND WHAT'S GONE!!
The BIG news for 2010 is the replacement of CHICKEN DRUMMIES with CHICKEN TENDERLOINS...and so far so good! Tenderloins are larger and contain more real chicken than the 37% chicken found in the little old drummy!! Tenders are $1.00 each and are available for morning tea and lunch orders
HAMBURGERS/CHEESEBURGERS will not be available until further notice. We were not happy with the quality of the burger, and will look into other options later this term. CHICKEN BURGERS are still on the menu.
In addition to BANANA BREAD we now offer PEAR & RASPBERRY BREAD. Each piece will cost $1 and is available at recess and lunch.
Sachets of TOMATO SAUCE and SWEET CHILLI SAUCE are available for 20 cents each.
PADDLEPOP CHOC CUPS are available at $2.00 each. We also have another frozen treat called FRUIT SMOOZE (80 cents) which is coconut and fruit based, which is proving popular.
Other new products:
SULTANAS 60 cents
POTATO STICKS 80 cents
TNT Vanilla 60 cents
5 CENT PIECES!!!!!!!
If you can avoid sending your children in with their emptied 5 cents moneyboxes... we would appreciate it!!!!! An occasional one or two is not so bad, but sometimes we get a whole lunch-order payment in 5 cent pieces. Someone has to count and bank them!!
