Parent Auxiliary
The objectives of the Parents' Auxiliary Committee are:
To promote social interaction between parents, teachers and students at the school and to assist and co-operate with the executive, teaching and office staff associated with the school. In order to achieve its objectives, the Parents' Auxiliary co-ordinates a variety of activities throughout the school year, these activities include:
- End of year Staff Luncheon
- Grandparents' Day morning tea
- New Parent Liaison
As with all the sub-committees, the Parent Auxiliary needs plenty of parental support to achieve its aims. Class Parents provide an invaluable avenue for communication between home and school. Close co-operation and communication between these parents and the Parent Auxiliary has been successful in allowing the sub-committee to access parents who can donate some time to various activities.
Parent Liaison
Hello my name is Heather Hutchison and I am the parent liaison along with Jennifer Masters. Our role is to welcome new families that enrol throughout the year at LEPS. However, all kindergarten enrollments that start at the beginning of the school year will be welcomed and assisted as part of the orientationthat LEPS provides.
For all other new students starting at LEPS we offer a get together for their parents, usually a morning or afternoon tea.
