P&C Association Invites you to the Annual General Meeting

We’re looking forward to another action-packed, productive year!
We warmly invite you to the AGM where all positions will be open for nominations for 2010. These include President, Vice-President(s), Treasurer, Secretary, general executive positions, and all the sub-committee roles. Several people have put their nominations forward already and we look forward to others nominating as well. As well, those wishing to become members can join up and vote on motions put forward in the General Meeting.
Immediately following the AGM we will hold the first General Meeting. We look forward to reports from the Principal and Deputy Principals on the coming year, as well as updates and news from the various sub-committees.
As well there are several motions which members can vote on as follows:
- That up to $12,000 is allocated to be used for the ‘Welcome Back’ Night. Proposed by Sandra Lee
- The P&C donates to the school $30,000 for the employment of a specialist technology teacher to coordinate and implement computer lessons for all K – 6 students. Proposed by A. Stevenson.
- The P&C donates to the school $80,000 for the employment of Support Teacher Learning Assistance Teachers (STLA) and resources that provide assistance for K – 6 students with literacy and numeracy skills. Proposed by A. Stevenson.
- The P&C donates to the school $72,000 to purchase and install, 8 Interactive White Boards for Kindergarten – Year 6 classrooms. Proposed by A. Stevenson.
- The P&C donates to the school $10,000 for the resourcing and refurbishment of the new LEPS, ‘Science Laboratory’. Proposed by A. Stevenson.
- The P&C donates to the school $4 500 for the employment of an additional SAO (School Administration Officer) for half a day per week. This role includes assistance with P&C administration throughout the year. Proposed by A. Stevenson.
