Volunteers Needed for New Roles
LYREBIRD CENTRE – FUNDRAISING COORDINATOR
We have just entered an exciting new phase in the Lyrebird Centre project. We now have a target of just over $370,000 to reach the $500,000 needed to get the first stage of the building project underway.
We are looking for a volunteer with experience in running and coordinating fundraising projects to join the committee. The person we are looking for will need to be able to:
- Put together a strategy to raise the remaining funds
- Coordinate a team of volunteer parents to implement that strategy
- Provide a timescale for raising the funds
- Liaise with the other members of the committee
This is a great opportunity to use your skills to make a real difference in the school – imagine the buzz of seeing the building of this fantastic project start and watching your children enjoy the results knowing that you helped to make it possible.
Ideally we would like to have someone in place by the next Building Committee meeting on 23rd November. Can you help? Please call Joanne on 0435 435 076 or email Joanne Lamberth if you can help.
SCHOOL SPONSORSHIP TEAM
We are just about to roll-out a new fundraising plan – looking at seeking annual sponsorship for the school from businesses in our community in exchange for advertising and promotional opportunities.
I am looking for volunteers, preferably with experience in sales (especially in relation to sales of advertising space or sponsorship) to help roll this programme out.
Other local schools have found sponsorship programmes very rewarding and we would hope that this will be a welcome addition to the fundraising activities at LEPS.
Even if you can only spare a very small amount of time (1 hour a fortnight or month) that would help! Please call Joanne on 0435 435 076 or email Joanne Lamberth if you can help.
The P&C makes a valuable contribution to the facilities available to all children at the school but we can only do so with the help of volunteer parents. Please consider helping – it's a great way to get really involved in your child's education and to meet new people.
