Band Workshop 25 July
The second LEPS Band Workshop for 2010 will be held at the School on Sunday,
25th July. Please note ALL MEMBERS are expected to attend.
The Workshop includes tutor sessions for each instrument group and Band rehearsals.
It is a great opportunity for the Band members to polish their repertoires and practise prior to performances such as the NSW School Band Festival.
DATE SUNDAY JULY 25th
TIME:
CONCERT BAND 1 9.35 a.m. to 2.30 p.m.
CONCERT BAND 2 8.50 a.m. to 1.45 p.m.
TRAINING BAND 10.20 a.m. to 2.45 p.m.
All parents need to sign your child in and out at the time of drop off and pick up.
VENUE: L.E.P.S. (The meeting point is outside the school hall)
COST: The cost of the Workshop is included in this year's Band fees.
Morning tea and lunch will be provided. Children with dietary requirements are advised to bring their own lunch. The children should wear comfortable, casual clothes and bring their Instruments, Music Folders, TB Books and MUSIC STANDS clearly marked.

BAND WORKSHOP

A reminder to all parents/carers/guardians that you need to sign your child in and out at the time of drop off and pick up.
The band co-ordinators for each band have requested that you please bring your diaries in order to help complete the parent help roster for Terms 3 and 4. Please look for the rosters at the registration desk.

TERM 2 NEWS
CB2 REHEARSAL CANCELLATION
Please note that there will be no CB2 rehearsal at lunchtime on Tuesday 20th April. Rehearsals will commence on Thursday morning 22nd April.
CB1 - PERFORMANCE DATES
CB1 will be performing at the school at 10.30am on Friday 23 April as part of the ANZAC ceremony. Band members should bring their instruments and music (no band uniform required).
Festival on the Green has been confirmed for CB1.
Time: arrive 9.45am for 10.15 performance
Date: Sunday May 2nd, 2010
Place: meet at the Community Hall, St Ives Village Green
Instruments, music and full band uniform required.
BAND COMMITTEE MEETING
Wednesday 28 April, 7.30pm, Staff room. All welcome.
Performances
Showing just how much hard work was done at the Band Workshop, both Training Band and Concert Band have given some strong performances.
Concert Band impressed the whole primary school at assembly. Their rendition of Dark Odyssey was a particular hit. The following day, Training Band's debut concert was magnificent. The soloists all played beautifully. Well Done!
