Canteen
The school canteen provides a variety of nutritious and attractively presented foods and drinks at reasonable prices. It is open,five days a week, to both Infants and Primary at recess and lunch.
The canteen is staffed by "full-time" supervisors employed by the P&C, and parent volunteers.

TERM 2 ROSTER - HELPERS NEEDED
Thank you to all of our wonderful volunteers who have wrapped wraps, juggled jumpies, slinkied apples and served a smooze or two this term! We would not be able to run the canteen without you.
There were quite a few occasions however, where we struggled to get enough help as the canteen has become much busier than in the previous years! Any help at all is greatly appreciated, whether it is an AM shift or a PM shift or an emergency hour here or there, (however, if you can do a whole shift, it is a lot easier to organise the roster and it does mean more helpers on more days).
We are currently creating the new roster for Term 2 and would love to see as many responses as possible. If you are on our current roster, we will allocate dates next term and advise you shortly. If you haven't been in for a while or if you are new to the school and you would like to help out, would you please come into the Canteen to see us, give us a call on 9415 6236 or drop us a note with your details and availability. Or email your details to "The Canteen" Bring a friend with you, or come and meet some new Mums and Dads! It is not too scarey and we do have a bit of fun, and your children will LOVE seeing you serving them at recess or lunch.
We hope to re-introduce some of our specials like Fried Rice and Tomato Pasta on those days where we have plenty of help.
WHAT'S NEW...AND WHAT'S GONE!!
The BIG news for 2010 is the replacement of CHICKEN DRUMMIES with CHICKEN TENDERLOINS...and so far so good! Tenderloins are larger and contain more real chicken than the 37% chicken found in the little old drummy!! Tenders are $1.00 each and are available for morning tea and lunch orders
HAMBURGERS/CHEESEBURGERS will not be available until further notice. We were not happy with the quality of the burger, and will look into other options later this term. CHICKEN BURGERS are still on the menu.
In addition to BANANA BREAD we now offer PEAR & RASPBERRY BREAD. Each piece will cost $1 and is available at recess and lunch.
Sachets of TOMATO SAUCE and SWEET CHILLI SAUCE are available for 20 cents each.
PADDLEPOP CHOC CUPS are available at $2.00 each. We also have another frozen treat called FRUIT SMOOZE (80 cents) which is coconut and fruit based, which is proving popular.

If you can avoid sending your children in with their emptied 5 cents moneyboxes... we would appreciate it!!!!! An occasional one or two is not so bad, but sometimes we get a whole lunch-order payment in 5 cent pieces. Someone has to count and bank them!!
