2011 Fete World Bazaar

thumb22thumb22The sun shone and a fun day was had by all at the LEPS Fete on Sat 4 Sept.

Thank You All!

I just wanted to say a big thank you to everyone who helped to make last Saturday's 'World Bazaar' fete such a huge success. All the class parents, who worked tirelessly to get their class stalls up and running and run them on the day, all the parents who helped on the day and everyone who came along and enjoyed the spectacle and contributed to the fundraising.

Thank to all our sponsors, and to the parents and families who so genorously donated their time to make this an amazing day for the school community.

There are some people, however, who deserve special thanks...

Julie-Ann Sheridan whose magnificent advertising and promotion was directly responsible for the huge turn-out on the day.

Lisa Rogers, Loma Saker and Georgina Ford who organised the sale of fun passes, sourced the fabulous selection of Raffle prizes and organised the Raffle – and all in a very short space of time.

Genevieve Hutcheson who had the unenviable tasks of ensuring that we met all the Health and Safety regulations, had the appropriate licenses in place, managed and counted the cash accurately and securely and arranging security both before and during the event.

Judi Wild-Howe and Jennifer Puncher who arranged all the entertainments, organised the schedule of events for the day and made sure it all ran smoothly.

Nicky Bowden, Philip Robinson and Fiona Halliday who did a fantastic job of organising all the equipment and consumables for the day and made sure the costs were kept as low as possible.

Jo Rutherford, Debbie Jenkins and Liz Pearce whose input at the countless fete planning meetings was invaluable.

Tania Burgess, Belinda Peet and Olivia Thomas who worked enormously hard to find and organise all the market stalls who attended on the day.

Rick Klusman and Drew Seitam who worked tirelessly all day making all the announcements so that everyone at the fete knew what was going on and didn't miss anything.

Andrew Stevenson, Sakuna Pho and Megan Lockery whose support in the planning phase and hard work on the day made sure the day ran smoothly. Andrew was the first to arrive on Saturday and the last to leave and all of the school management team and many of the teachers rolled-their sleeves up to help with moving tables, organising electrical cables etc etc

Louise Scope and the team in the School Office who worked incredibly hard to keep up with all the communication and other requests from the committee and remained cheerful and positive throughout – even when under enormous pressure. Louise especially took work home with her to prepare things for us and was a tremendous help on the day.

Teachers – many of the teachers helped the students in their class to make signs and posters for the fete and made sure the children were excited and involved with what was going on.

Thank you all – the fete is a great community event and an important fundraiser and it simply can't happen without a lot of hard work from the whole parent community!
