This lovely event is traditionally catered for and “staffed” by Year 1 and 2 parent volunteers. Any of you have helped out before will know that the grandparents are great tea and coffee drinkers (an average of about 4 cups each – always hard to keep up with demand!) and really appreciate our culinary efforts.

We are looking for volunteers to help with the following to ensure another successful event this year:

Donation of cakes, slice, biscuits, sandwiches and other savoury options (we were a little short of savoury items last year) and fruit. We would be grateful if you could deliver your goodies to the canteen by 9.30 a.m. on Friday 21st August. Please bring finger food and individual serves only. Not wanting to sound fussy, but this makes life so much easier for both the volunteers and the grandparents – thank you.

Setting up from 9.15 a.m.

Serving tea/coffee/cakes from 10.30 a.m.

Cleaning up from 11.30 a.m.

Second round of tea/coffee from 12p.m.

The canteen will also need some extra hands to help make the sandwiches that the Grandparents can order for their picnic lunch with their grandchildren
